The international insurance organization AIG is responsible for the fleet management of various large customers, such as leasing companies. To keep track of this large amount of customer policies and vehicle data, AIG uses a Silicon Low Code fleet management application.
The fleet management application has links with the systems of the Belgian, Luxembourg and Dutch governments. These agencies use this data to check whether a vehicle is insured, for example during roadside checks by the police.
Prior to the project, the historical data was first prepared for the transition to the fleet management application. Data was spread across different systems, which meant that quite a bit of data pollution had built up over time and the data was not immediately usable.
Information manually entered by end users, such as a vehicle's make and model, was checked and corrected if necessary. After the data was cleaned it was then converted into new structured data for use in the application.

The Silicon application has been developed to fit seamlessly with AIG's processes. User roles and rights can be assigned based on the work of the different departments.
The business rules for each country are also recorded in the application, so that the deviations between policy and vehicle rules in the different countries are defined.
Various processes have been realized within the application, including the import of large Excel files. In the background, up to thousands of documents can be automatically generated from selected data, such as the well-known green card for cars.
