Orthocenter started 41 years ago and has since grown into a nationwide orthodontic chain with more than 50 practices. The head office supports the branches in all non-care related areas, such as ICT, HR, finance, building management and communication.
Thanks to this extensive support, the practice staff can fully focus on what it is all about: caring for the patient.
Before a personal treatment plan is drawn up in an orthodontic practice, X-rays must first be taken. The starting position of the teeth is determined using these images.
An orthodontist can read the existing jaw proportions from an X-ray skull photo. The question was whether this could be digitalized and automated with a Silicon application.
Using the Silicon Low Code platform, we have developed a custom application to simplify the X-ray image reading process.
Instead of having an orthodontist manually draw the proportions, the correct proportions can now be digitally traced from specific points. This tracing software supports both analysis and diagnosis, making the process not only faster but also more accurate.
The software is developed based on an advanced X-ray image framework, which fully digitizes the analysis of jaw relationships on X-ray images. Complex geometric algorithms are used to accurately visualize tracings on the X-ray images.
In addition, the system calculates the outcomes of various cephalometric analyses, making predictions for treatment outcomes available quickly and accurately.
Thanks to the use of the Silicon Low Code platform, the tracing software has been developed considerably faster than with traditional custom solutions. In addition, the software is now easy to expand and integrate with external systems, which ensures an even more efficient flow of processes.
